How often in your life do you get the opportunity to say “Life is really good right now”? We all know life can hit some bumpy roads but the smooth highways are all the sweeter when you’ve traveled through potholes!
At this moment, I’m living in still waters. Life is really good. Our daughter loves her job and was just accepted into grad school. My husband is valued at his job and doing important, gratifying things. My son is newly graduated from college. Everyone is enjoying good health, good relationships and few problems.

This post is really about how grateful I am for this latest season in my life. I can spend time writing, taking care of my home, taking better care of myself, cultivating friendships AND…..drumroll, please….starting a business with my son! How cool is THAT?

We have this mutual love of animals and it occurred to us that we could help people out by taking care of their pets while they’re at work or school or on vacations, etc.  I hired a great pet sitter back in March while I was working fulltime outside of the home and admired her work ethic and love for my dogs. She inspired me and I always thought in the back of my head, I could do that. I would LOVE that. Nick and I kicked off the business less than a month ago and already have a few clients and looking for many more. I believe that God will bless this venture and am committed to remaining patient as word spreads and our reputation is established. My prayer is that we can build this service to be busy enough to sustain a stable income for Nick as he begins a new direction in his life~ moving from being a college student to growing this business or for whatever endeavor he chooses next. I feel blessed to be able to take part and am here for as long as he needs me. How cool that God has worked animals and their true value into my life in a HUGE way these past few years….what a plan. I may take a lot of good-natured ribbing from my friends about being a vegetarian and PETA supporter, but I don’t think any of you can deny my passion outweighs your sarcasm and dry wit. (Deena, Gretchen, Jimmy~ that part is for you!)  🙂

So if you have hounds (or cats or birds or pretty much anything else besides snakes) that need some TLC ~ daily care or less frequent ~ and you’re in northern Tampa or surrounding areas, check us out by clicking here. We’d love to help you or any of your friends out!

Our new business!

“But these things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day.” Habakkuk 2:3 (TLB)
