Courage is fear that has said its prayers and decided to go forward anyway

Joyce Meyer, your words strike to the very core of me. Several years ago, I was channel surfing (at the risk of squashing the idea that only men have that annoying tendency, I sheepishly admit that I have a case of channel surfing that can only be described as chronic).  “Enjoying Everyday Life” with Joyce Meyer flashed by in my haste to find something ~ who knows what exactly ~ to watch. I think it was her voice that first caught my attention so I flipped back. Who was this? I decided to give her about 15 seconds to capture my attention and the rest is history.

She has straight-shooting one liners that resonate and marinate in my head. If you are a also a fan, you know what I mean. If you aren’t, I urge you to check her out. Some of my personal fave’s……..

You can suffer the pain of change or suffer remaining the way you are.

Character is doing what you don’t want to do but know you should do.

Our joy does not have to be based on our circumstances.

You can not live your life just based on what everyone else thinks.

Have God make a message out of your mess.

When you are tempted to give up, your breakthrough is probably just around the corner.

We need a backbone, not a wishbone.

Addictions – Run to Jesus instead of running to your addiction.

Satan can control you if you let outward things determine your security.

We don’t want to survive. We want to be healed.

There are no drive-thru breakthroughs. Breakthroughs take time.

God doesn’t tell you to do hard things so He can stand back and laugh and watch you struggle. He tells you to do things the things that He knows are gonna work out to your good in the end.

Why wouldn’t we run to God. He’s sooo good. God’s not mad at anybody. He just wants to help us be the best that we can be.

Have a blessed day, friends…. did anything written speak to YOU today?  ….yep, that’s what I thought.    🙂
