Do you have a Facebook page?
Statistics show that you probably do.
Are you my friend on Facebook?
Well…. maybe not for long.
Here’s a bold statement said with just a touch of anger and a whole lot of irritation. If you and I are friends on Facebook, I can probably see every page you “like”. I don’t go looking for that information~ it pops up in my newsfeed without my necessarily even wanting to know. True, I’ve come across a lot of great blogs and informative pages because my friends have “liked” something I didn’t even know existed. Recipes, fashion, etc. and that’s awesome. And then there’s the rest of you…
Men, I’m speaking to you now in particular. If you’re “liking” pages that have naked women sitting on motorcycles and tattoo’d 18 year old’s spread eagle on the hood of a hot rod, I get the great displeasure of a.) having this thrown in front of my face and b.) really knowing what you’re about. Now… I’m speaking to the men who claim to be Christians who are “liking” these pages for all to see. Just a suggestion because I’m certainly not the moral police but did you know this comes off as a bit….um, NON-Christian? Were you aware that you’re sending a not-so-subtle message to your Facebook friends that maybe who you say you are doesn’t match up with what you do? In non-Christian circles, that’s a hypocrite.
I’m not speaking for ANYone but me. I’m not a big fan of Facebook to begin with but I’m only able to maintain communication with multiple people via this social network so I stick with it. I am careful about what photos I post. I am careful about what photos I even like. I really don’t want to see offensive photos but some of my “friends” make that impossible for me.
Here’s the bold statement said with just a touch of anger and a whole lot of irritation. I have to “un-friend” you. Relatives, co-workers, whoever. I know you aren’t going to lose any sleep over this but I really will. It’s difficult for me, even now, to set up the boundaries and stick to them but I will.
It’s not being judgmental~ it’s guarding what MY eyes see and take in.
Sorry to rant.
Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it. ~Proverbs 4:23
Love you guys. Have a blessed day!

What are your thoughts?
Look at you getting all bold! Excellent, as always.
Amy,
I could not agree with you more! If I had that issue I would do the very same thing. You rock at telling people your REAL feelings.
