So what’s the purpose behind a blog? Too many possibilities to even list! Business building, inspiration, journaling, event coordination, fundraising, etc. etc. etc.
The purpose of my blog is, and has been for 7 or 8 years, to share what life looks like to me. It is multi-faceted, just like life, and sometimes I’m sharing something as simple as  what I believe the typical Prius driver personifies, what my crazy dogs are up to or what a day spent at the beach felt like. Other times, I’m sharing the seriousness of my son potentially saving someone’s life in a car accident or the complete demise of a marriage or the miracle God brought me in the form of a man who chases after Him or how addiction has affected so many people I know.
You know, it’s MY blog. Some of you read it because it inspires you (and I thank you for encouraging me when you share that) and probably others read because it’s a subject that interests them on any given day. Are you ready for this? Some read it because they want to take issue with me or my version of a situation and that’s okay, too. Again, it’s MY blog.

So in the last year, a lot has changed. One of those things is that I’ve developed a far thicker skin. Words and actions of others used to deeply, deeply affect me. I was routinely accused of being “super sensitive” and I own that. When you’re put in situations where your emotions are on constant alert, you get a little jumpy. Thank God I can now feel the hurt but then release it pretty quickly. We never want to find ourselves in a place of not feeling things, after all.
So, to you, the person who is bothered so much by my little blog that empty threats of legal action have been dropped like fodder, I say this. It’s MY blog.
